1. Install G Cloud app on the new device.
  2. Open G Cloud app and tap the Already have an account? button.
  3. Sign in to your G Cloud account, using the same method you used to create this account. (Email/Google+/Facebook)
  4. G Cloud will detect that you’ve backed up other device(s) under this account, and will list this/those device(s) for you, and will ask you to select from one of the following options:
    • Yes, replace my old device with this one: Selecting this option will make G Cloud combine the backup of the selected old device and this new one into one device. The old device will stop appearing in the list of your backed up devices, and if G Cloud app is still installed on the it, the backup will stop there and you’ll be signed out from it. Please do not select this option if you wish to continue the backup process on the old device.
    • No, add this as a separate new device (Very Recommended): Selecting this option will make G Cloud add the new device to the list of your backed up devices, without affecting the backup of the other one(s).
  5. Select the data you want to back up from under this device, and tap the Done button.
  6. Once you are on the main screen of G Cloud app, tap the Restore button.

  7. Select the device you want to restore from its backup.
  8. Select the data you need to restore and proceed to restore it.

  2. Open G Cloud app and tap the Already have an account? SIGN IN button.
  3. Select the proper method to sign in (Email/Google+/Facebook) according to which one you’ve used when you signed up for your G Cloud account before.
  4. G Cloud will detect that you’ve backed up other device(s) under this account, so it will ask you to select from one of the following options:
    • Yes, move the memories: Selecting this option will make G Cloud combine the backup of the other device and this new one into one device and you can view the older device backup from the Restore and Memories tabs.
      If G Cloud app is still installed on the other device, the backup will stop there and you’ll be signed out from it. Please do not select this option if you wish to continue the backup process on the other device.
    • No, don’t move*: Selecting this option will make G Cloud asks you if you are still using the other device. You can select one of the following options:
      • Yes, keep protecting it: G Cloud will keep working on your other device.
      • No, I stopped using it: G Cloud will stop working on the other device.
  5. Select the data you want to back up from under this device, and tap the Done button.
  6. Once you are on the main screen of G Cloud app, tap the Menu icon in the upper left corner → Select the Restore option.
  7. Select the device you want to restore from its backup.
  8. Select the data you need to restore and proceed to restore it.

* If you select No, don’t move, the older device will be available under the Restore section in G Cloud app, and you will be able to restore from it.

  1. Install G Cloud app on the new device.
  2. Open your G Cloud app and tap the Login option.
  3. Enter your Account’s email and password.
  4. Select Restore from an older device backup and then tap on Next.
  5. Choose the device that you wish to restore from.
  6. Proceed with selecting everything to restore or restoring selected items.
  7. Tap on Restore.

Once the restore completes, G cloud will resume the backup using the settings you have set earlier on the older device.

  1. From Appstore, download and install G Cloud app on the device.
  2. Open your G Cloud app and tap the Already have an account? Sign in option.
  3. Select the proper way to sign in to your account, depending on the method you’ve used when you created it. (Email/Google+/Facebook)
  4. Tap Restore.

  5. Select the device you want to restore from.
  6. Select the data you want to restore.
  7. Tap the Restore button
  8. Tap proceed to confirm the restoration process.
