Restoring files on your iOS device is an essential task to ensure data continuity and security. How to Restore Photos

  1. Ensure that the G Cloud app on your target iOS device is up to date. This guarantees that you have the latest features and improvements.
  2. Launch the G Cloud app on your device and wait for the “Syncing files with server…” process to complete.
  3. On the Home screen, tap the Images button. All your backed-up photos are displayed there. Browse through the collection to locate the photos you need to retrieve.
  4. To select the photos you wish to retrieve, long-press on each photo. This action will display a bar at the bottom of the screen with a Download option. This option downloads the selected photos to the Gallery app on your device.
  5. Tap the Download option and give the G Cloud app the needed time to finish the downloading process.
If the requested data is not archived, it will start downloading instantly. However, if the requested data (or some of it) is archived, you will be informed by a pop-up message. (Learn more)

 

How to Restore Videos

How to Restore Contacts

  1. Ensure that the G Cloud app on your target iOS device is up to date. This guarantees that you have the latest features and improvements.
  2. Launch the G Cloud app on your device and wait for the “Syncing files with server…” process to complete.
  3. Tap the menu icon ≡ at the upper-left corner of the G Cloud app and tap the Restore option.
  4. Tap the Contacts category. This will display a list of databases, each containing all the contacts on the device up to the specified date.
  5. (Optional) To simplify the process, tap the Filter icon in the upper-right corner and filter the contact databases by device.
  6. Tap on the desired contacts database to load its content.
  7. To restore all contacts in this database, tap the Restore All Contacts button. Otherwise, select the specific contacts to restore by long-pressing them, then tap the Restore X Contact(s) button.
  8. Allow the G Cloud app sufficient time to import the contacts from the selected database back to your Contacts app.
