How To Ignore Battery Optimization For G Cloud Application On Huawei Devices

Problem

Backup not running automatically at the scheduled time? Here is the fix.

Causes

Huawei phone system automatically ends all apps running in the background unless they are marked as protected apps manually.

Solution

– Disable Battery Optimization for G Cloud

1. Go to your Huawei phone’s Settings.
2. Scroll down and tap on Apps & Notifications.
   
3. Tap on Apps.
   
4. Find Settings near the bottom of the screen.
   
5. Tap on Special Access.
   
6. Tap on Ignore Battery Optimization.
   
7. Tap on All Apps.
   
8. Tap on G Cloud and choose Allow, then press OK.
   

– Disable Manage automatically for G Cloud

1. Go to your Huawei phone’s Settings.
2. Go to Battery.
3. Tap on Launch.
4. Turn off Manage automatically by tapping on the switch to the right of G Cloud.
5. In the pop up menu, enable Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background options.

   

6. Tap on OK.
