Important! Make sure to grant the GCloud app all the permissions it will be asking for while following the steps below.
GCloud app supports Android 5.0 or higher.
- Install the GCloud Backup app on your smartphone.
- Open the installed GCloud app.
- Tap the Register button.
- GCloud will offer you three (3) sign-up methods;
- Sign up with Google: By choosing this sign-up method, GCloud will prompt you to select the Google ID that you wish to utilize for completing the account creation process. No additional email confirmation will be required, and you will always be required to use the Sign in with Google option to gain access to this GCloud account via the app or website.
- Sign up with Facebook: By choosing this sign-up method, GCloud will prompt you to select the Facebook ID that you wish to utilize for completing the account creation process. No additional email confirmation will be required, and you will always be required to use the Sign in with Facebook option to gain access to this GCloud account via the app or website.
- Sign up with Email: By choosing this sign-up method, GCloud will request you to complete the registration form. It is important to ensure that you furnish a valid email address and utilize a strong password. Upon submitting the form, an email will be dispatched to the provided email address from noreply@gcloudbackup.com. The email subject line will read “Verify your account“. Kindly check both your Inbox and Spam folder for this email. Once located, click on the Confirm button within the email to effectively activate your GCloud account.
- Select the data you want to back up and tap the Save button.
- Install the GCloud Backup app on your smartphone.
- Open the GCloud app.
- Tap the Don’t have an account? button.
- GCloud will offer you four (4) sign-up methods;
- Sign up with Apple: By choosing this sign-up method, GCloud will prompt you to select the Apple ID that you wish to utilize for completing the account creation process. No additional email confirmation will be required, and you will always be required to use the Sign in with Apple option to gain access to this GCloud account via the app or website.
- Sign up with Google: By choosing this sign-up method, GCloud will prompt you to select the Google ID that you wish to utilize for completing the account creation process. No additional email confirmation will be required, and you will always be required to use the Sign in with Google option to gain access to this GCloud account via the app or website.
- Sign up with Facebook: By choosing this sign-up method, GCloud will prompt you to select the Facebook ID that you wish to utilize for completing the account creation process. No additional email confirmation will be required, and you will always be required to use the Sign in with Facebook option to gain access to this GCloud account via the app or website.
- Sign up with Email: By choosing this sign-up method, GCloud will request you to complete the registration form. - By default, all the selections will display as (Not Authorized). Pop-up messages will be displayed asking you to give permission to access the content. Please Allow access.
- When permissions are granted, select the data you want to back up and tap the Save button.
