Introduction
GCloud Backup provides a comprehensive backup solution for Android and iOS devices, ensuring the safety and accessibility of your important data. Below is a detailed list of the data types that GCloud Backup can back up by default.
Ensure that GCloud Backup has the necessary permissions enabled to back up data effectively.
For Android Devices
By default, GCloud Backup will back up the following data on Android devices:
Contacts
- All saved contacts will be backed up to the cloud.
Messages
- Supported: SMS messages.
- Not Supported: MMS and Advanced Messaging (Rich Communication Services – RCS).
Call Logs
- Complete call history, including incoming, outgoing, and missed calls.
Documents (Supported formats)
- doc, docx, html, rtf, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, pdf, pages, csv, odf, odt, ods, odp, sxw, sxc, tsv, snb, txt
Videos (Supported formats)
- 3gp, mp4, mkv, avi, ts, webm, wmv, flv, mov
Music (Supported formats)
- wmd, wma, mp2, mpa, mp3, rmi, aif, aifc, aiff, rt, rm, ram, ra, rp, mpga, aac, wav, flac, m3u, m4b, pls, m4a, amr
Photos (Supported formats)

For iOS Devices
By default, GCloud Backup will back up the following data on iOS devices:

- All stored contacts will be securely backed up.

- Includes all calendar events and reminders.
