Automatic Backup Handling
If your G Cloud account is already backing up three (3) devices, here is what happens when you log in from a new (4th) device using the G Cloud app:
The system will automatically disconnect the oldest device to make space for the new one, ensuring that your most recent devices are backed up without needing additional steps.
This article provides instructions on how to manage your devices and choose which ones to keep connected.
How to Disconnect a Device
Disconnecting a device will stop the G Cloud app on that device from performing any further backups. The device’s data will remain in the Cloud.

- Open the G Cloud app.
- Tap the Menu ≡ icon located in the upper-left corner, then tap Settings.

- Confirm your choice when prompted.
You will receive a notification once a device is disconnected.
