Introduction

GCloud accounts can be created through several methods: Google IDFacebook IDApple ID, or by using an email/password combination. If you signed up for GCloud using an email/password combination and have forgotten your login password, you can easily reset it by following a few simple steps. This guide will walk you through the process of recovering access to your account.

 

Method 1. Via the GCloud Mobile App

1. Install the GCloud app on your smartphone.

2. Open the GCloud app and tap the Login option.

3. Tap the Continue with Email button.

4. Tap the Forgot password? option.

5. Type your GCloud login email in the blank field and click Submit.

6. An email from no-reply@gcloudbackup.com with an OTP will be sent to your GCloud login email address.

If you do not see the email in your Inbox, please check your Spam folder.

7. In the opened Reset Password screen of the GCloud app, enter a new password, confirm it, enter the received OTP,  and tap the Reset Password button.

 

Method 2. Via the GCloud Website

1. Visit the GCloud’s “Forgot your password” webpage here.

2. Type your GCloud login email in the blank field and click Submit.

3. An email from no-reply@gcloudbackup.com with an OTP will be sent to your GCloud login email address. Type the OTP in the “Forgot your password” web page.

If you do not see the email in your Inbox, please check your Spam folder.

4. On the page that opens, enter a new password, confirm it, and click Submit.

If you already have the GCloud app installed and running on your smartphone, open the app and enter the new login password when prompted to ensure that your backups continue without interruption.
